Charging Cost per 100 km
Estimate what home EV charging costs per 100 km from your electricity price, vehicle consumption, and charging-loss percentage. Optional pack size is usable kWh (not nominal) for a full-charge wall-energy cost. Planning estimate only — not a utility bill.
Frequently asked questions
How do charging losses work?
Wall (meter) energy is E_wall = E_battery ÷ (1 − ℓ), where ℓ is the charging-loss fraction. Cost per 100 km is price × wall energy. A common planning default is around 10% for home AC wallbox charging; use a lower figure if you know your setup is more efficient, or 0% if your kWh/100 km already includes charger losses.
What if WLTP already includes losses?
Set loss to 0% so you do not double-count. Use a non-zero loss only when your kWh/100 km figure is battery / driving consumption without charger losses.
€ vs SEK / other currencies?
Enter price in whatever unit you pay (EUR/kWh, SEK/kWh, etc.). Results use the same unit — we do not convert currencies.
What does the optional battery size mean?
Enter usable pack capacity in kWh (energy you can actually charge), not the manufacturer’s nominal / gross figure. That value is only used to estimate wall energy and cost for one full charge.
Is this my real bill?
No. This is a planning estimate only — not a bill. Time-of-use tariffs, temperature, driving style, and idle losses all change what you actually pay.
