Do cook times scale?
No. Amounts scale linearly. Oven time often does not — use judgement for thickness and pan size.
Can I type fractions like 1/2 or 1 1/2?
Yes. Fractions stay fractions, so 1/2 cup for 4 servings becomes 1/4 cup for 2. Decimals such as 1.5 stay decimals. Servings can be fractions too.
Can I mix units?
Yes. Each ingredient keeps its own unit label; the scaler multiplies amounts and does not convert between units.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded.
